Cushions made of Peruvian blanket, these cushions are part of a handmade blanket painted with flowers and plants naturally.
These blankets are created to cover from the frosts in the Andean highlands, to take care of homes and entire families. They are made in a technique called "Loom" which is learned from generation to generation and each figure is inspired by beliefs, religion, nature, gender duality, flora and fauna.
The artisans express in these weavings their daily life experiences because they did not know how to read or write and this is a form of expression. Each figure has a different meaning. You can find:
